1. Registration Procedure

Please download the registration form from this page, then fill the blanks and check the boxes. You can also apply oral or poster presentations using this registration form. The presentation author is requested to submit a short abstract (max 300 words). The Program Committee will make the selections of your presentation style (oral or poster) used this short abstract. After preparation the registration form, please send it by e-mail (secretariat). The secretariat will notify the registration ID to you within a few days by e-mail.

Notice

As a part of the Young Researcher Cultivation Program of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Society of Japan, the Young Scientists Poster Awards will be given to the most outstanding poster presentation by a young scientist (only society member). If you wish to apply for the Young Scientists Poster Awards, please mark with "yes" on the registration form (14. Entry for Young Poster Award).

4. Name Badge

It is not allowed to enter the meeting site without the name badge.

  • Participants from overseas

The name badge will be handed at the registration desk of the meeting site.

  • Participants from Japan

The name badge will be delivered in late October to those who have completed the payment by the due date.


5. Receipt

  • Participants from overseas

The receipt will be sent by e-mail (only for payment via bank transfer) or handed the original copy at the registration desk of the meeting site.

  • Participants from Japan

The receipt will be sent with the name badge. Please understand that receipts cannot reissued.


6. Cancellation policy

Cancellations received before September 29 (Fri) will receive refund less administration charges. No refund will be made after this date. Please send e-mail to secretariat .

8. Long Abstract submission

Long Abstract, which will be printed in the Abstract Book, should be prepared as the following instructions. The abstract (only in the PDF format) with a subject headline, "NMR56 abstract_(Registration ID)", should be mailed to secretariat . Please note that no modification will be accepted after the deadline.

At the 56th Annual Meeting of the NMR Society of Japan, we will publicly disclose all the abstracts online after we complete printing and mailing around the end of October. Also, after the program is decided around September, program including the title, author(s) and affiliation(s) will be released on the website. In case your abstract contains unpublished data or you are going to file a patent application, please be aware.

  • Guidelines for writing the Long Abstract
Format

The abstract should be prepared as a PDF file of A4 size (2 or 4 pages). Grey-scale figures are acceptable. Top margin 25 mm; Bottom margin 28 mm; Left margin 25 mm; Right margin 25 mm.

9. Instruction for Invited speakers and Oral presenters

  • (1) Language

  • (2) Presentations

Only computer-based PowerPoint presentations will be accepted. No sound output equipment will be available. Please make sure to bring your own laptop.

Notice:

  • Ensure that your computer is equipped with the proper monitor connector (D-sub 15 pin or HDMI). If your computer does not have this connection, please bring an appropriate converter with you.
  • Be sure to bring an AC adaptor. Please note that voltage in Japan is 100 V and the frequency ranges 50-60 Hz depending on the area (50 Hz in Tokyo). The socket is type A, which has two flat plug holes. If your laptop is not convertible, transformers and/or plug adaptors are necessary.
  • Adjust the settings to prevent activation of the screen saver or power-saving mode.
  • (3) Preview

Please bring your laptop to the "Preview Desk" in the hall at least 20 minutes before your presentation.

10. Instruction for Poster presenters

  • (1) Posters

All posters remain on the panels for November 14 (Tue) - 16 (Thu) as no replacement needed during the meeting. Please note that posters should be mounted between 9:30-13:30 on November 14 (Tue), and removed between 12:00-12:30 on November 16 (Thu).

  • (2) Presentation time

Please stand by for presentation and discussion in front of your poster during the poster presentation. Also, please put a ribbon on your chest for the sign of a presenter.

Even number and Young Scientists Poster Awards presenters: November 14 (Tue) 13:30-15:00
Odd number presenters: November 16 (Thu) 10:30-12:00

  • (3) Guidelines

Poster Panel
Please post your poster on the panel with your poster number at the upper left. Push pins for posting will be prepared for each panel.

Size
The panel is W90 cm x H210 cm. Please write the title, author(s), and affiliation(s) at the top of poster as large as participants can read from at least 3 m away. Please make a blank space (W20 cm x H20 cm) at the upper left for the poster number card.

Indication of Presenter
Please put small circle (○) at the upper left of the presenter.

Characters
Please write in a large hand. Figures and/or carts should be as large as possible.

Removal
Please remove your poster at the removal time by yourself. The secretariat does not store or return.
