The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Society of Japan was established based on the NMR meeting in Japan, which has been annually held as a forum for NMR researchers since 1961. On November 15th, 2001, bye-laws of this society were resolved in a general meeting, and the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Society of Japan was officially organized on April 1st, 2002.

The aims of the Society are to promote the basic and applied researches on nuclear magnetic resonance as well as enlightenment and educate the field of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. It is intended to contribute to the development of the research field of nuclear magnetic resonance not only for community in Japan but also those in worldwide. It performs annually a necessary academic meeting and the publication of the bulletin, and other services for the achievement.
