Presentation Guidelines

Presentation and short abstract submission
Deadline : July 31, 2009

Presentation registration mail containing your name, affiliation, postal address, e-mail address, presentation type (oral or poster), and a short abstract should be sent to nmr48@bioreg.kyushu-u.ac.jp with a subject hedline, “NMR48 short abstract”. The author is requested to submit a short abstract. The short abstract should contain title, authors (presenter is marked with ○), affiliations, and summary (max 300 words). This short abstract will be used for a decision on your presentation type , i.e., oral in English or poster.

Long abstract submission
Deadline: September 25, 2009

Long abstract, which will be printed in the Abstract Book, should be prepared as the following instructions. The abstract (only in the PDF format) with a subject headline, "NMR48 abstract", should be mailed to nmr48@bioreg.kyushu-ac.jp.
This long abstract will be open to the public on this web site after the Abstract Book is published (late October, 2009).

Guidelines for writing the Long Abstract
1. Format

The abstract should be prepared as a PDF file of A4 size (2 or 4 pages). Grey-scale figures are acceptable. Top margin 25 mm; Bottom margin 28 mm; Left margin 25 mm; Right margin 25 mm.

2. Page Setup and Fonts

Title: 14 pt Times New Roman, Bold
Authors’ names: 12 pt Times New Roman
Affiliations: 12 pt Times New Roman, Italic
(one blank line)
Abstract: 12 pt Times New Roman
(one blank line)
Body text in a free format

Oral instructions

The presentation time is 45 minutes for overseas invited speakers and 20 minutes for other speakers, including 5-minute discussion. Please note that we will accept only computer-based presentations. Please bring your laptop computer. To deal with a PC trouble, we ask you to bring your presentation file in an USB flash memory or CD-R. Please bring an AC adaptor, and also a Mini D-sub15pin converter if your PC has no Mini D-sub15pin output. Please bring your computer to the PC desk in the session room at least 30 minutes before your presentation. Please review your presentation there. If your presentation contains movie or sound, please notify it to the secretariat.

Poster instructions

Mount and Unmount
Posters should be mounted between 9:00 - 11:00 on Tuesday, November 10, and removed between 15:00 - 18:00 on Thursday, November 12. All posters will remain hanging for the entire meeting. Poster panel size: height 210 cm x width 90 cm. A poster number (20 cm x 20 cm) is displayed at the top left of the board. A supply of pushpins will be provided. Posters left after 18:00 on Thursday, November 12 will be discarded by the conference secretariat.

Presentation
Presenters are requested to stand by for discussion between 13:30 - 15:00 on Tuesday, November 10 for even-numbered (P002, P004,...) posters and on Thursday, November 12 for odd-numbered (P001, P003,...) posters.
